This was our second sit with these extraordinarily wonderful people, and we couldn’t feel more grateful. Knowing our animals and home were in David and Erin’s care gave us such peace of mind. I only wish they lived in our city permanently... I’m sure they would become good friends. If you’re lucky enough to have them care for your pets and home, don’t think twice — welcome them into your world!

I have to say that, since joining THS, we have had some truly amazing and positive experiences with our sitters from around the world - but Erin and David have certainly brought that to a new level with their one-month sit for us this September. If I could give them 10 stars, I would do so with zero hesitation - they were simply so outstanding from start to finish! First and foremost, their care and attention to our 3 Siberian cats was exceptional and so heartwarming to witness (and quite heartbreaking when they left)….secondly, their care for every aspect of our home was just perfect…and thirdly but not least - they are two of the loveliest, most interesting people you could hope to meet on this pet-sitting journey or anywhere else for that matter. We hope they will return to us one day - if only just to drop in and say hello as a minimum - and we can but wish for many other owners to have the happy experience of having them come to stay at your home and with your beloved pets.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have crossed paths with David and Erin—they are truly exceptional house sitters. If they apply for a sit, consider yourself lucky. We recommend them without hesitation. From the moment we met, their deep love and natural care for animals shone through. Throughout our trip, we received daily updates and photos of our two dogs, who were clearly enjoying plenty of love, playtime, and attentive care. Communication was effortless. Every message—from travel updates, to thoughtful check-ins about our trip, to notes on the home—was timely and considerate. David and Erin went above and beyond to maintain our dogs’ usual routine, which meant we returned home to calm, happy pets showing no signs of stress or disruption. They even added special touches to make our homecoming warm and welcoming, and left the house in pristine condition. We would gladly welcome them back anytime. If they ever travel through our city again—or have the chance to sit for us in the future—it will be an enthusiastic “yes” without hesitation.

We feel so lucky to have had Erin and David cat sit for us! They are very experienced cat care-takers, and are lovely, kind, responsible people, who really went above and beyond for us. They were flexible with our changing schedule as we had to field a family emergency, and even offered to come back to feed our cat (after they'd officially finished the sit) when we had to stay away longer than expected. They took wonderful, patient care of our ornery cat, and left the house cleaner than they found it. They even washed our sheets (which we didn't ask them to do), and bought food for us so we didn't have to go to the store after returning from a long trip. We really can't say enough good things about them, and hope to have them sit for us again soon!

5 stars all around! David and Erin stayed in our home for 2 weeks and took meticulous care of our cat Dot and our home. They sent adorable photos while we were away and went above and beyond to pick up a prescription and share some holiday treats with Dot. In addition, they were wonderful humans that we hope to hang out with again soon!

I would give Erin and David ten stars if I could--they are simply the best! We have had all kinds of people stay in our house over the past 20 years--students, paid cat-sitters, friends, sub-letters, you name it. I can definitively state that David and Erin are the best of them all! They are incredibly responsive over email and text; they are wonderful with cats and clearly love them; they travel with a heated blanket, cat videos, and red ribbons--all of which our two cats loved (indeed if they had a choice I wonder whether Echo and Juliette wouldn't even prefer to live with David and Erin!). They looked after our house perfectly and kept us up to date with funny, informative, and very thorough emails. Really, I think they should probably do this for living! It's because of people like David and Erin that Trusted Housesitters is such a great site.

David and Erin are exceptional. They are lovely, warm and kind people who clearly adore cats. They communicated very well before and during the sit. They were very attentive to the cats needs(and ours) with lots of pictures and dealt with 2 mini crises with one of the cats admirably. They are friendly, clean, flexible and cooked us a lovely meal on our return. They are also good company and I would give them more than 5 stars I would. Thank you both.

Gave five stars because we couldn’t do more! David and Erin were amazing sitters from start to finish. They were communicative, organized and proactive from the start. They were flexible on timing and made arrangements to arrive a bit earlier to meet our dog Bo and cat Billy and the animals were instantly comfortable with them. Within hours of leaving, we received photos of both animals cuddling them on the couch and they were sure to keep us updated with photos of their daily walks and playtime— they even managed to get Bo in her new slush pants to save her paws from the salt and updated us on how she was taking to them lol. Beyond the care they showed for our pets, they left our place spotless and even left some treats behind for us. Above all, David and Erin are incredibly kind and interesting people who treated our animals and home as if they were their own. We wouldn’t hesitate to have them sit again and couldn’t recommend them more as sitters for any kind of stay. 10/10 experience!
